I grew up in Thatcher's London and I am based in South London/Margate. My work explores our interconnectedness and relationships within and beyond capitalism, working with practitioners who use experimental sound, performance, visual and design practices. As an artist I use dialogue, image-making, text, sound, performance, creative pedagogies, and publishing, inhabiting the thresholds of traditional art institutions. I am self-taught in illustration and printmaking. As an independent curator, producer and facilitator, I have edited books, curated exhibitions and events, led research projects and created professional development programmes for artists and designers with organisations in UK and Europe. I have worked as a producer in UK arts organisations and taught in higher education. I was Senior Producer at Sound and Music (2009-12); Research Tutor at the School of Communication, Royal College of Art (2013-18) where I developed the Sound Design pathway for the MA Information Experience Design; and Head of Artist Development/Producer at Artsadmin (2018-19). I was Consultant Producer, leading the pilot phase of the Contemporary Visual Arts Network England’s Fair & Equitable programme (2021-22). I wrote my PhD on the documentation of Live Art.
